Toucan facilitates Social Media Marketing Workshop for business owners in Turks & Caicos

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, 8TH NOVEMBER, 2019: Toucan facilitated a recently concluded Social Media Marketing Workshop hosted by The Department of Trade, Industry and Consumer Affairs of Turks and Caicos. Business owners dived into the world of social media with Racquel Blake, General Manager of Toucan Jamaica and Richelle De Souza, Client Services Manager of Webfx. Attendees learnt the appropriate social media platforms to use for their business, branding, measuring their return on investment and social media advertising.

Anika Talbot, Manager at A&H Beauty Supply, Grand Turk, said “What I thought would be a refreshers course/workshop for someone like me who uses social media often, was much more insightful. I am impressed. The Toucan team exceeded my expectations. I now have key knowledge on how to effectively use social media and take my business to the next level”.

The partnership with The Department of Trade, Industry and Consumer Affairs of Turks and Caicos, is just one example of how Toucan is investing in educating the business community on the latest trends and best practices in social media to leverage the medium for success. Toucan’s Chief Dishwasher, Douglas Ames, explained that social media evolves so quickly that constant awareness of the changes to each network are necessary to truly harness their power.

Business owners who attended the workshop are now better equipped to leverage social media as a marketing and brand awareness tool. Toucan hopes to collaborate with other organisations in the future.
